my critique on this assignment... |
i told you I was no artist. i'm a procrastinator anyway, but i had a really hard time starting this assignment. i LOVE to write, but i'm not a drawer and i'm really out of my comfort zone in this class. at the same time, being out of my comfort zone is interesting and something i'm enjoying exploring. i prefer my 10 minute drawing to my 1 minute drawing for many, many reasons. i was allotted more time to put more details into my work. i really struggled to get the correct angles on the drawings. the more time i got to draw, the more I experimented. i didn't like that i didn't have more time to pay attention to detail. i struggled with the fact i couldn't erase any lines i made accidentally either and I've also never used charcoal before. overall, this was an intriguing assignment and i enjoy that i can see all of the work i put into this assignment together. i definitely could have improved on the straightness of my lines.

for part b of this assignment, I decided to draw my coffee maker (very important in my life) and my desk (where all my schoolwork and creativity gets done. i had such a hard time getting the angles right on my desk. drawing will continue to be a struggle for me, but something i intend on improving on.
